RA Pigmentation Solutions Steps Healthy Skin

Cleansing

This is the first step of your regimen.

We recommend applying 1 pump of cleanser onto clean, damp hands and gently massaging into the skin.  Add more water to create lather and work into skin for 1-2 minutes.  Remove with gentle (soft) white cloth for several rinses if needed.  Pat or air-dry skin before applying next step.

Cleansing is the most important step in any regimen.  This step can help introduce lighteners and brighteners into the skin, starting the process of a luminous, healthy glow.

Tonic

This is the next step of your regimen after cleansing.  We typically recommend tonics being applied in the AM due to their antioxidant properties and increased protection.  Depending on the tonic, application may range from one to three times per week, to a daily application.

We recommend applying 1-2 pumps of tonic onto a clean cotton round or 2x2 gauze pad.  Apply to clean, dry skin.  Let product absorb.

A tonic can be a game-changer for pigmented skin!  This formula is designed to increase lightening and brightening support, while increasing UV protection.

Building & Strengthening (AM)

The products in this category are typically applied in the AM as many formulations contain potent antioxidants and ingredients to repair damage, rebuild the skin, and assist in lightening and brightening complexions.  These products may be changed seasonally as well.  They are applied after the cleanser and tonic steps.

We recommend applying 1-2 pumps onto fingertips and gently massage into clean, dry skin.  Let serum absorb.  May layer moisturizer overtop.

Correctives (PM)

These are considered rejuvenating formulations as the products in this category contain vitamin A (retinal) and a variety of brightening acids.  They are recommended for use at night, applied after cleansing.

We recommend applying 1 pump onto clean, dry skin.  Let product absorb.  May layer moisturizer overtop.  SPF use during the day is recommended when using Correctives.

Formulas in this product category will boost exfoliation, suppress melanocyte activity, lighten and brighten the skin.  We recommend using our potent skin lightener as a spot treat and cycle on and off every three months for skin health.

Hydrators & Moisturizers

This category focuses on balancing or increasing hydration in the skin.  Pigmented skin may be drier due to the increased depletion and damage.  Our formulas go beyond just hydration at the superficial level; they strengthen the skin and promote a healthy glow.

These may be applied AM and/or PM and may be changed seasonally or depending on what the skin is experiencing.

We recommend applying 1-2 pumps onto fingertips and gently massaging into clean, dry skin or over your favorite RA Building & Strengthening or Corrective serum.

Excellent Additions to Regimen

Scrubs

These formulations help increase surface exfoliation and reveal a lighter and brighter complexion.  Scrubs are perfect to use one time per week and are to be used after cleansing in either the AM or PM regimen.

We recommend applying a small amount into damp hands; apply to face and neck.  Gently massage into skin or allow to sit on skin for several minutes (like a mask).  Rinse thoroughly with warm water.  Pat skin dry.

Enzymes

An enzyme is a great addition to a home care routine as they boost surface exfoliation, suppress melanin, and result in a lighter and brighter complexion.  Enzymes are to be used once per week.

We recommend applying a thin layer onto clean, dry skin – avoiding the eye area.  Leave on up to 10 minutes.  Rinse well with cool water and soft cloth.  Pat skin dry and follow up with your favorite RA mask, serums and moisturizer.

Masks

A mask will help boost antioxidants, circulation, and reveal a healthier complexion!  Masks are typically used once per week but depending on the mask and skin concern, twice per week may be more effective.

We recommend applying a thin layer onto clean, dry skin – avoiding the eye area.  Leave on 10-15 minutes.  Rinse well with cool water and soft cloth.  Pat skin dry and follow up with your favorite RA serums and moisturizer.
