RA Rosacea Steps Healthy Skin

Cleansing

This is the first step of your regimen.

We recommend applying 1 pump of cleanser onto clean, damp hands and gently massaging into the skin.  Add more water to create lather and work into skin for 1-2 minutes.  Remove with gentle (soft) white cloth for several rinses if needed.  Pat or air-dry skin before applying next step.

Cleansing is the most important step in any regimen.  The formulas in this category assist in reducing redness, inflammation and negative pathogens.  Consider alternating or mixing a non-active cleanser into an active cleanser to increase hydration.

Tonic

This is the next step of your regimen after cleansing.  We typically recommend tonics being applied in the AM due to their antioxidant properties and increased protection.  Depending on the tonic, application may range from one to three times per week, to a daily application.

We recommend applying 1-2 pumps of tonic onto a clean cotton round or 2x2 gauze pad.  Apply to clean, dry skin.  Let product absorb.

The tonics for rosacea include powerful antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial ingredients.  They are designed to help strengthen and protect the skin.

Building & Strengthening (AM)

The products in this category are typically applied in the AM as many formulations contain stem cells, vitamins, and antioxidants to help strengthen and protect the skin.  In addition, healthy lipids replenish an impaired barrier.  These products may be changed seasonally as well.  They are applied after the cleanser and tonic steps.

We recommend applying 1-2 pumps onto fingertips and gently massage into clean, dry skin.  Let serum absorb.  May layer moisturizer overtop.

Correctives (PM)

Formulas in this category are recommended for use at night, applied after cleansing.

We recommend applying 1 pump onto clean, dry skin.  Let product absorb.  May layer moisturizer overtop.  SPF use during the day is recommended when using Correctives.  We recommending using 1-3 nights per week as you start to introduce a new corrective to your regimen.

Correctives contain actives including encapsulated vitamin A (retinol and retinal), plus acids to decrease cellular buildup, reduce negative pathogens, stimulate fibroblast activity and cellular energy.  They not only assist in controlling the progression of rosacea but address aging concerns.

Hydrators & Moisturizers

Moisture loss may lead to an impaired barrier function, increasing inflammation and redness.  Lipid and cell-strengthening ingredients nourish and protect the skin.

These may be applied AM and/or PM and may be changed seasonally or depending on what the skin is experiencing.  Consider mixing a few drops of a lipid-based serum into a cream-based moisturizer for maximum hydration.

We recommend applying 1-2 pumps onto fingertips and gently massaging into clean, dry skin or over your favorite RA Building & Strengthening or Corrective serum.

Excellent Additions to Regimen

Masks

Masks for rosacea skin help keep it healthy, soothed, and calm!  Formulated with ingredients to reduce inflammation, redness, and negative pathogens, masks are typically used once per week but depending on the mask and skin concern, twice per week may be more effective.

We recommend applying a thin layer onto clean, dry skin – avoiding the eye area.  Leave on 10-15 minutes.  Rinse well with cool water and soft cloth.  Pat skin dry and follow up with your favorite RA serums and moisturizer.
